Life right now... [24 Jun 2009|11:34pm]
is amazing! For the last two weeks I have been touring the UK and Europe. Ive currently done about 11 flights in the 2 weeks ive been gone and have another 9 flights before Im home. Ive been to London, Switzerland, Germany, France, Mallorca in Spain, Barcelona and Madrid, Norway, Sweden and I still have Holland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Finland to go. Ive seen some amazing places, swam in lots of beaches and lakes and eaten a lot of good food! Right now Im sitting next to a river in Gotenburg, Sweden at midnight, its still kinda light outside, Sick of It All and the Living End are parked next to our bus and its soo nice outside! I really cant believe where my life has come in the last few years. I thought back in 2007 that that was it. I had a fulltime job and thought my touring days were over, but how wrong I was, Ive since toured the world and ben to many places more than once. Ive been to Europe twice in the last 12 months, the US, South East Asia, Japan and have South Africa and the US again before the year is out. Ive seen mountains, lakes, snow, rivers, city after city, tried to speak a billion different languages and its been amazing!

To think this sort of lifestyle was something I dreamed of as a kid and now all these years on its what I do for a living, blows my mind everyday. The fact I know cities on the other side of the world and know streets and shops and have that familiarity with them is soo weird..and then if I think about home, I have the best friends, a great girlfriend and my little puppy bronx....lifes great xxx

Media BS [04 Jun 2009|02:09pm]
Fuck the media.... If your sick, its a pandemic, even though 80 people worldwide have died from swine flu and most of them are probably old people with shitty immune systems, 3 ethnic people in melbourne get bashed and we're all racists, a plane crashes and straight away its "we cant rule out terrorism" and the day it crashed gets named black saturday, why is everything made into such a big deal? Show it once and move on! Shit happens everyday and has always happened, much worse than anything I just mentioned, and although racism and plane crashes suck, it happens, but it doesnt need to be all over the news every second filling peoples minds with crap so everyone freaks out! Theres obviously something else going on no one wants us to know about otherwise they wouldnt have to defer our attention elsewhere.....

Earth Crisis [14 May 2009|03:00am]
Well finally after 12 years of listening to them and wondering if I would ever see them live I got to see my favourite band tonight, Earth Crisis. I went to the Key Club in Hollywood with Johnson to a small crowd of about 150-200 people. I have just gotten off a 40 show tour with Parkway and normally I could care less about seeing a band live cause im always around it, but tonight I was excited and had that feeling I used to get at EVERY show I went to and it was great. I was a lone soldier in the pit, but I didnt care, I moved to every song, I piled on, sung along and had the time of my life, they played all the songs I wanted to hear. And I did it all proudly xed up too, I even waited at the front of the stage to talk to the guys after, I was like all the 15 year old kids you see at Parkway shows just sooo stoked to be there! Met up with a few Adelaide dudes, Barrat and Troy and went and got some late night thai on Sunset boulevard with some friends after. Great night and Im stoked to end my trip on that then fly home to Australia tomorrow. xxx

Cuzzin' [01 Apr 2009|02:56am]
Had a great night tonight. Jona came and picked me up from Big Bee's house and took me to Mothers Market for some vegan chicken balls with veganaise and a vegan california club sandwhich, was awesome. I went and checked out his place in Irvine and his dog hated me so we bailed to starbucks and drank chai tea and chatted which was great. We went back to his house and met up with the Parkway Drive guys and went looking for jacuzzis, when we found one with no one in it, we jumped the fence and soaked up some californian late night air. Was a really nice relaxing night.

I miss my girlfriend a lot.

Old school... [23 Mar 2009|11:37am]
Bury Your Dead last night at Fowlers was great, was kind of like a show years ago when Adelaide was good, some good bro's, good breakdowns and good times in the pit. Im getting a bit old and I only last about three songs, but it was just a great vibe and BYD played a good set with plenty of old songs. Its good to see people still come out to shows no matter how old they get! Too many people grow up and get boring and disappear, makes me happy to still see the loyal few hanging out. I think that was also the last hardcore show Fowlers is having ever, its getting turned into a balet school now or something. I fly to LA this week to tour US and Canada for 7 weeks, might see some old friends out there too.

Life on the whole... [14 Feb 2009|04:23pm]
[ music | Imogen Heap, Kings of Leon ]

So over the last year and a half I have pretty much been touring non stop. Ive had the pleasure of touring with some great bands such as Lifetime, All Shall Perish, Set Your Goals, Silverstein, Bleeding Through, Madball, Death Before Dishonour, Blacklisted, Carpathian, I Killed The Prom Queen, Deez Nuts, Crime In stereo, Ignite and many more which has now led me to be fulltime with my good friends in Parkway Drive. Since I have been woring for them Ive done Australia a few times, Europe, UK and we just got home from Japan, China and South East Asia which was great except all the early mornings, different countries and time zones caught up with me and got me sicker than I have been in a while. Im on the mend now though, ive been resting at Jeffs palace in Byron watching Prison Break, eating good food and sleeping a lot. Tomorrow I head off on a small run with Deez Nuts and Louie Knuxx to end up back in Melbourne where I get to see my girl who I rarely get any time with for a month until we head to the US for 7 weeks. After that we have a lot more countries and continents we are hitting but some might need to stay under wraps until the shows are announced. All in all life is good, its been a crazy year and a half, I havent really been home for much more than 2 weeks at anytime, I moved out of my house and now spend my time at home between my girlfriends house and my storage unit. Sometimes a little down time would be good, but considering the fact I get paid to travel the world with my friends, Im not planning on giving that up anytime soon. My band The Braves will have a 7" out soon on a melbourne label and im working on something else with a few dudes which we will hopefully have a demo out for in the next few months.

Anyway im just rambling, ive been laying on a couch for 4 days straight trying to get better and im kinda starting to get a little bored so im resorting to live journal and myspace bulletins for some entertainment.

3am eternal.... [24 Nov 2008|12:51am]
Last night after the show in Budapest we headed out to explore the city with what time we had left before bus call. Me, Nanouk and Pie ended up climbing to the top of Gellert Hill to the Citadel (which is a monument of a woman holding a Olive branch to symbolise peace after the second world war). We trekked up countless stairs through a huge park which was completely snow covered, I even took a few decent slides cause im kinda clumsy, and eventually made it to the top. The view was amazing, it was 3 am, quiet and so peaceful and we could see the whole of Budapest lit up at night. Definitely one of those times on tour I really enjoy, just getting out and about and amongst a new city and its history. Actually the thing I found kinda funny about how the hill came to be called Gellert Hill is because a missionary named St. Gellert who came to try to convert Hungarians to christianity in around 1000ad, but was caught by a bunch of Pagans and thrown into a barrel and rolled down the hill to his death. Not an ideal way to kill someone but experimentive to say the least.

Im back in Vienna now which is always nice. Ill be taking a train into the city soon so im sure ill have some new pics and stories to tell later tonight.

Goulash [23 Nov 2008|07:27am]
Today im in Budapest in Hungary, we arrived late due to a 15 hour drive from Cesena, Italy. It wouldnt normally take that long but because we are in a bus it takes extra time. As we approached the Hungarian border it started to snow a little which I was quite excited about as I dont get to see much snow. It snowed on and off until we reached the venue, which was a boat on a river! Its a pretty cool set up, just a little strange. It snowed the whole time we loaded in which seemed to bother the americans and canadians but all the aussies were pretty siked. The venue is really cool, its basically just a boat convered into a venue, all the backstage rooms are old quarters and have been done up really nice with showers and bathrooms. The food was amazing, I think it was some sort of Hungarian Goulash with mash potatoe and mushroom soup to start. Havent really had time to see any of the city but I think once the show is done we are packing up and going to explore. Then we leave at 5am for Vienna, where im sure we'll encounter even more snow. Home in a few weeks, pretty siked for that!

We just rented bikes and rode from Moulin Rouge to the Eiffel tower through the arch of Rememberance, we nearly got killed multiple times, but it was fucking awesome. We ate banana and chocolate crepes under the tower and fairy floss.

great times..

Smugglers.... [11 Nov 2008|05:39am]
[ music | Protest the Hero from side of stage- worst band!! ]

Last night we were driving from Belgium to Calais in France where we were taking a ferry across the english channel to do the english leg of the never say die tour with Parkway. We stopped at a service station to fill up the bus and Despised Icons bus was alreadyd there and as we pulled in we noticed 2 dudes fucking with their trailer. I think we kind of startled them when Herman our driver started honking and flashing his lights and they just opened the doors of the trailer and before my eyes a whole family, im talking mum, the baby, the toddler and the older daughter piled out of the trailer, scrambling their way over all the gear and merch and run away into the bushes behind some trucks. The dudes that were there with them started getting aggressive and abusing us and throwing rocks at our bus. This happened around 3am and cause of all the noise most dudes got out of their bunks on the bus and came downstairs and jumped outside. We could see the people hiding behind the trucks about 100m away and all of a sudden three of the men charged towards us with hands in their pants like they had guns and were gonna pull em and we all bailed quickly into the bus. I think they were bluffing but shit was pretty insane and supposedly it happens a lot. Good luck to people trying to find a better life, but fuck if we got caught with them in their we would have gotten screwed. all in all it was all pretty surreal and to top it off we had the wildest ferry ride across the channel and I got sea sick cause i was running all over the boat, eating and standing out on the deck in the dark and cold getting sprayed by waves....

London Calling.... [26 Oct 2008|01:33am]
Me and Sheep bailed the Bring Me show last night to drive to London for a show in Camden. The show at the Underworld last night was awesome, it was Honour Among Thieves last show and it sold out and kids went crazy. I caught up with a lot of old friends and made some new ones. Was a refreshing change from the bigger shows weve been doing on this tour to see a proper London Hardcore show with people there that arent 15 years old.

I ate some good food and hung out in Camden most of the afternoon then I made my way back to Sheps house on my own to slep on his cold hard wood floor....woke up this morning, no sign of sheep so I got dressed and bailed to catch my train to Wales. On the way I tried to hail a cab and what idiot was waving his arms around frantically in the back of the cab, SHEEP! So now were in Wrexham, a shitty Welsh town that is freezing as fuck, no showers at the venue and my infrareds are dirty!

Great Adventures though, back to catering and rock shows, but stoked to be back on the bus!

Prince of Thieves... [23 Oct 2008|08:29am]
[ music | Phil Collins ]

Today I am in Nottingham, it didnt realy click when I looked at the tour laminate seeing where we were heading last night that Nottingham was where Robin Hood stuck it to the big guy. I walked around the venue with Stu and Ty to find the oldest inn in england. Well we actualy went to the wrong pub first and the guys had a beer and I had a pot of tea cause we thought this was the inn, but it turned out it wasnt and we ended up stumbling across the actual oldest inn a little later on. The other inn was cool tho, it had a cave system underneath it that used to be used to store food and drinks to keep them cool as well as peoples valuables so they werent stolen. It was haunted down there too by a 5 year old girl names Rosie and some other dude. no one was down there but us and it was actually pretty scray. We even foubnd a little room in there with a doll and teddy bear surrounded by coins and there was a really deep well as well. The oldest inn, which is attached to Nottingham castle was cool, it had an old miniature ship that was covered in dust that was encased in plastic as over the last 800 years the three people who had tried to clean it died for no apparent reason. That was cool, as was the chair that supposedly if a woman sat on it she would become pregnant!
We walked around the castle, saw the Robin Hood statue and got some great photographs, I have put some up on my myspace at www.myspace.com/weberbsc if anyone is interested. Some great history here, its probabaly the only english city so far I have really enjoyed sight seeing wise, everything else was a bit whatever....

Bread and Cheese [21 Oct 2008|08:30am]
[ music | BMTH ]

I miss bread and cheese, I cant wait to get back to Europe. Im in the UK still with BMTH and Deez Nuts, never seen such a variety of drugs and alcohol on one tour, its been educational to say the least, but still great times. As far as stuff to see in the Uk its pretty dismal most of the places weve been but I think I did enough sightseeing in Europe to make up for it. Ive met some awesome people on this tour though, ones Im sure im gonna stay friends with for a long time. Travelling is something I just cant get enuff of. Ive been all around the world now and ive met some great people and seen some great places and I hope I can just keep on doing it. I just met the most awesome girl before I left and I miss her like crazy. I still have 5 weeks away from her, but I think shes gonna be my girl when Im back, havent met someone im this excited about in a long long time, shes great.

UK vs the French.... [16 Oct 2008|12:17pm]
Were in London tonight, parked up in a Tescos underground carpark for Buses. Theres an MTV nightliner and the Oasis tour buses are parked down here too. Its been a shitty day, we got to Calais in France and the ferries taking us over to the UK were on strike so we drove to the Euro tunnel entrance where we got fucked over by french police for two hours while they searched every part of us, our bags and the bus. It was pissing down with rain and their sniffer dog walked shit all through our bus and they just made a mess. Really not too happy with the french right now...

We rolled into London about 730pm and took a tube to Soho and got all you can eat vegan thai buffet, then we went to Picadilly Circus and then Big ben. Now im back in the bus and I manged to steal some free wireless from one of the other buses. We head up north tomorrow and then start the UK tour for 2 weeks, its been a blast, Amsterdam was insane, weirdest place ive been...

Zurich [13 Oct 2008|02:31am]
Im in Zurich, Switzerland today and its amazing. Its possibly my favourite place ive been since ive been in Europe. The buildings are so old and everything just looks like something out of an old movie. I climbed to the top of the Grosmunster, which is a huige church that was built in the 1200's. It was a big climb, but we made it and the view was well worth it. We watched some dude play a piano accordian in the old town which really set the atmosphere for the age of the era, felt like we were walking into medievil times....I got my picture taken with a pink poodle, climbed a bunch of statues and nearly got run over a million times.....all in all it was a great day!

Euro trip [11 Oct 2008|09:59am]
[ music | Bring me the Horizon ]

Im in Italy at the moment, it looks like a really nice country but the show is in some dead end industrial estate and we didnt have time to see anything today cause we got here late which kinda sucked cause Venice is only 40KM down the road. Its soo hot here and Im tired as fuck too. We drive back to Germany tonight then Zurich the following day. Im really looking forward to seeing the mountains in switzerland and gaining another stamp in the passport! I like the fact that most countries ive been too are part of the EU, but at the same time it loses all the excitiement of changing money, borders and passport stamps, so from what I hear Switzerland isnt part of the EU and we get to experience a little more culture...also why the fuck are Italian shows running so late? Its 1am and im still sitting in a pile of red shore merch falling asleep! At least they fed us well, the Euros definitely know how to put on catwering, its insane! Everyday you get between 2 to 3 meals and its all awesome, loads of vege stuff and the selection rules! Fuck the cheap ass Aussie venues that give you a pack of corn chips and salsa!

alright Bring me the horizon just finished their set so a billion jerks with bad hair are gonna wanna buy merch so i gotta bail, but as shitty as their fans are, their new record is awesome!

until next time...

Bread and cheese.... [08 Oct 2008|01:24am]
[ music | Biggie smalls ]

I left Australia one week ago on a flight destined for Hong Kong, then London. We flew over the himalayas which was amazing. I never realised there were so many communities in amongst the mountains. It really was a sight to see, mountains poking through the clouds, deserts and rivers. We landed in London to a little indian man holding a sign saying "deez nuts" was pretty funny. We crammed into his little van, and I mean crammed, we were buried to the ceiling with gear on our laps for an hour. We took a train to Paris that same day and were meant to get a connecting train to Nantes, France, but missed it so ended up spending the night in Paris in a small little hotel. The next day we took a train to Nantes and played the first show. Was pretty bizzare hanging out with so many Australian friends in france. The bus we were meant to be on broke down before it even got to the first show so we got a replacement bus for one day until we got the bus we are still on at the moment. We get a new bus in a few days, but for now this one is pretty cosy. We have since been to Munster, Hamburg, Karlsruhe and Berlin in Germany as well as Belgium and have driven through the netherlands, that was crazy, as soon as we crossed the border there were glass houses full of weed! It was pretty surreal to think weed is just grown out in the open and 5 min away on the other side of the border it is illegal! I've eaten way too much Cheese and bread and chocolate so I have been trying to get out and walk every morning to 1. stay fit and 2. see the cities. Dudes have been partying super hard, we have like 3 edge dudes out of a bus of 19, so shit gets pretty crazy, but its all fun and Im having a great time. Im missing a certain someone back home, I just met her before I left and think shes awesome. I hope it all works out when Im back.

Some weird shit ive seen so far -

a french midget
weed farms
ridiculous riders, bigger than the biggest bands get in Australia.
a lot of drugs
a german indian that spoke english
got asked if me and Stu were famous gangsta rappers in Berlin
red light district streets with supermodels sitting in windows trying to get dues to fuck them

Ill keep this journal updated for anyone that cares to read it. Ill have Photos up soon

Homeless and free..... [04 Sep 2008|12:02am]
[ music | Frank Sinatra ]

So all my stuff is in storage now and im spending my last night in an empty room sleeping on a thin ass matress before we head out on tour tomorrow for what will be nearly four months straight touring Australia, Uk and Europe. I got no rent, no bills, no ties at all, just hanging out and seeing the world...i feel free! A little Frank Sinatra is playing in the background and Im pondering over the good times ahead of me...To me this is what life is all about, I love nothing more than just packing up my shit and peacing the fuck out, not knowing where ill end up, where ill go, how ill get there, who ill meet and if ill ever come back. One life to live....

See you all on the road sometime...
